What is Figma Weave (formerly Weavy)?
Figma Weave is a browser canvas where you connect AI models and editing tools as boxes, called nodes, to make images, video and 3D in steps you can repeat. It started as Weavy, a Tel Aviv startup founded in 2024, and Figma bought it on October 30, 2025. As of September 2026 it has a free plan with 150 credits a month, and paid plans start at $24 a month.
What Weave does
Each node does one job. An input node holds a product photo or a prompt. A model node sends them to an image or video model from Google, OpenAI, ByteDance, Black Forest Labs, Kling, Runway, Luma or another maker. Editing nodes then mask, inpaint, relight, upscale, outpaint, or add layers with type and blend modes. Wires carry each result to the next node, so a finished canvas is a recipe you can run again on the next product.
Weave can turn a canvas into a simple tool with only the controls a teammate needs, so someone who did not build the workflow can still run it. Figma’s announcement described Weavy’s users as architects, visual effects artists, marketers and designers. Figma says Weave gives you full commercial rights to what you make and never trains on your work.

A credit is not a fixed amount of work. Each model costs a different number of credits (Weave says Flux costs fewer than Veo 3), so the image counts on the pricing page depend on which model you run. Check the credit list per model before you plan a job around a premium model such as Nano Banana Pro.
How our agency used it
Our agency built four campaigns in Weave by hand in 2026: gummy supplement ads, men’s trousers on a model, brownie food ads with motion, and surf apparel on one model. Across the four, 361 renders gave 45 photos an art director kept, about 8 renders per keeper. The full breakdown is in how many AI renders it takes to get one usable photo.
Every canvas had the same three zones: inputs, a locked "brain" of AI roles with fixed instructions, and an output fan-out of about ten shots. A starting layout in that shape, with our suggestions for what goes in each zone:

Who Weave suits
Weave suits teams that want to control every step: an art director who picks the model for each shot, a studio that runs the same pipeline across a catalog, or a Figma team that wants product shots next to its layouts. It suits less well a brand that wants a finished, on-brand set from a brief without building anything, because someone has to design, test and maintain the canvas. Your own API keys are Enterprise-only, so smaller teams pay for every model call in Weave credits.
